Process Art – a monthly newsletter
Process Art is a monthly newsletter for people who want to pay closer attention to God’s presence in ordinary life.
The name comes from the idea that growth usually happens during the process rather than in the finished product. Just as children learn, experiment, and discover while creating something—even when the final result is imperfect—our spiritual lives are shaped by the ways we pay attention, practice, and grow along the way.
Each monthly issue includes a personal reflection, a spiritual practice, a question for deeper reflection, a recommended book, and an invitation to notice beauty in the world around us. Process Art offers a place to slow down and pay attention to God’s presence in the life already unfolding around you.
Meet Jennifer
Jennifer K. Nichols is a writer, spiritual director, and teacher whose work explores prayer, spiritual formation, discernment, hospitality, and friendship with God.

Her work encourages readers to slow down, listen carefully, and discover God’s presence in the beauty and complexity of ordinary life.
Current Writing Projects

A Holy Friendship: Discovering God’s Gentleness
A completed book manuscript that invites readers into a deeper friendship with God through contemplative prayer practices and a renewed understanding of God’s gentleness. Drawing from a range of Christian spiritual traditions, the book offers practical pathways for growing in prayer and spiritual transformation.

The Art of Moving Well
A developing book project about the practical, emotional, and spiritual experience of relocating from one place to another. Drawing from multiple moves across the country, the book explores belonging, home, grief, hospitality, and the art of creating rootedness in unfamiliar places. While centered on the experience of geographic relocation, it also considers how movement and place shape who we become.
